GOALS!!!!!!!!

"212°"
I want share with you a goal for TEAM Investments and the motto we will be living in 2009. It's simple and it is all over every TEAM Investments office and you will be hearing me say it A LOT! 212°. Yes, that's it. But it is very significant to success.
Here's the idea...
At 211 degrees...water is hot.
At 212 degrees...it boils.
And with boiling water, comes steam.
And steam can power a locomotive.
And, it's that one extra degree that...
Makes all the difference.
And, of course, so many times, in sports, in business, and in life, it's that one extra degree of effort that separates the good from the great.
What I love about the 212° idea is that you can use it to fit your own needs. It may be 212° service that you'd like to reinforce, or 212° attitude, leadership, or quality. It may be the difference in making it to the Super Bowl, or Pro Bowl. Remember, some games are won or lost in the last 10 seconds. Or maybe, you'll choose to build your entire company culture around the 212° concept...to differentiate you from your competition. No matter what it is to you, you can use this to better what you want and how you want to get there. Look at your goals again. Now, make sure that with every goal you initiate the 212° concept.
A culture of excellence will not happen on its own! It takes a lot of hard work and a lot of continuous reinforcement. It starts at the top and answering these 3 questions is a first step for success:
How do I keep it simple? Less is always more.
How can I make it memorable?
How many times can I communicate it, on a daily, weekly and monthly basis?
To some this may sound like simple, common sense stuff. But to do it right, it's anything but simple. It takes a plan, a commitment, and a call to action.
What makes the 212° concept #1 in my mind is this: It's very simple, but more importantly, it's MEMORABLE! If you're trying to create a 212° culture your people will get it! And, not only will they get it, they'll remember it! When you say 212° service, they'll know exactly what you're talking about when you say 212° attitude, teamwork, leadership...they'll understand.
In summary, creating a culture of excellence is never easy. In fact, it's real hard; otherwise every company could be a Nordstrom. You'll need all the help you can get to bring your goals to life, and to keep the message alive!

Last month we discussed giving the extra degree in everything you do and living by the 212 concept. As we stated before living with the 212 concept can make the difference between winning and loosing. So as we go forth with extra effort we must also think about our TEAM and who is on it. Who holds what position and what roles are we missing.
TEAMWORK
This is crucial to understand whether it is in sports, business, or our personal lives teamwork is an essential part of success. TEAMwork separates winners. I have never believed in the term” Self made Millionaire." There is no one who gets to their financial destination alone. It takes a lot of due diligence and a great TEAM. Have you ever stopped to evaluate who the key players are on your TEAM? Like the Blue Angles we need to know our "Center Point", the common reference point or goal. Without strict adherence to the center point, failure is inevitable.
A successful TEAM adheres to shared values, placed at the center point to guide the team and help them stay on course. Shared values serve to build an effective team, establish its culture, conduct, rules, and policies. It creates accountability, integrity, respect and commitment. These traits provide a foundation for the most important value of all- TRUST!
There are many different members we may need on our financial TEAM. A good TEAM should have the following:
- Mentors who can be active role models and coaches
- Like Minded, supportive wealth builders and visionaries
- Top-rate industry or task specific legal council
- Accountants
- Leading edge financial experts
Optimally, a great TEAM will include:
- A business broker who can scout out private placement, leveraged buyout, and franchise and licensing opportunities
- Various Real Estate Players
- Others who know investment opportunities
If you own and run a business you will need:
- Marketing
- Publicity
- Finance
- Operations
- Distribution
And of course every TEAM needs their utility players:
- Administrators
- Assistants
- Bookkeepers
- Graphic Designers
- Writers
- Financial Analysts
- Office Managers
- Computer support personnel
- Technical advisors
- Sales Reps
- Marketing professionals
When the TEAM comes first, personal recognition, interpersonal concerns, relationships, and any number of internal and external issues that can challenge a TEAM's cohesiveness, are put into proper perspective. Successful leaders embrace the power of TEAMwork by tapping into the innate strength each person brings to the table.
Capitalize on the synergy of your TEAM. Synergy happens when qualified people align on a common objective. Put the right leaders in the right places. Strive for perfection. When each member accepts full responsibility and reaches for excellence, trust and performance increase exponentially and your TEAM will be ready to soar!

Last month we discussed TEAMwork and the lasting effects working as one cohesive unit has on accomplishing your goals. We saw a few of the TEAMmates we might need to run a successful business and help us obtain lasting effects. I had a very hard time deciding what to write on this month: attitude, leadership, or the introduction to my book, "The Prosperity Principles". Yesterday, one of my agents sent me an article on how many professional athletes are broke. My decision was made for me. I want to share my beliefs and the system that will lead you to success. I call it, "The Prosperity Principles." It is five simple rules that will assure success in any aspect of your life. I am going to take the next few Newsletters and give you some basics about my five rules to live by.
Make Wise Decisions
The facts are this, the NBA, NFL and Major League Baseball-are suffering from a financial pandemic. Although salaries have risen steadily during the last three decades, reports from a host of sources (athletes, players' associations, agents, and financial advisers) indicate that: ·
- By the time they have been retired for two years, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress because of joblessness or divorce.
- Within five years of retirement, an estimated 60% of former NBA players are broke.*
Remember CASH FLOW is king. Had any of these individuals invested for cash flow they would have been in a better financial situation. I try to have all of my clients living on the income from their cash flow investments and putting their paychecks in the bank. If you loose your job or income, but still have cash flow, you will be able to maintain your life and lifestyle.
The solution to the problem is EDUCATION. Wither you are an athletes or a business person, it is crucial to do your due diligence and research the companies or people you are investing with. It is imperative to make wise choices in every aspect of your life. There are three types of decision you can make, "yes/no decision", "options decision", and "only if this happens, then that can happen decision".

In our last news letter we discussed "Prosperity Principle Number 1... Making Wise Decisions". Wise decisions are imperative in this market where much has been lost; we realize there is more to gain. Most of us can learn from the mistakes that were made in the last bull market so that during this bear market we are successful money makers. Remember most billionaires made their money in bear markets. When prices are low you're surrounded by opportunity.
You're Surrounded by
The people that really succeed in the world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, they make them.
The lure of the distant and the difficult is deceptive. The great opportunity in your life is where you are right now. Properly perceived, every situation becomes an opportunity for you.
Your destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. It is not something you wait for, but rather something you achieve with effort and perseverance. Things won't turn up in this world until you turn them up.
You develop opportunity by applying persistence to your possibilities.

In our last newsletter we talked about opportunity. Now it is time for my team and I to give you the push you may need to get started. Most of you that know me know I love the motivational aspect of what I do. When I read this and did a little research on Eagles I had to share... So, with that said have a great October and enjoy the newsletter. I am sure with this push we will all be doing some great investing this month.
THE PUSH

The Eagles' story is one of my favorites. Studying the life an Eagle is not only educational, but inspirational.
In the above video there are two distinct lessons. We learned the baby Eagles are pushed and only then do they learn to fly, and more importantly if the mother does not push then she has failed her young.
Often times in investing we are much like the baby Eagles. We read about what we should do, and see other people doing it, but when it comes to investing ourselves we doubt our ability to succeed. We feel safer in the nest. Like the Eagle our thrill of soaring or succeeding starts with a fear of falling or failing. Overcoming that fear will take a push, but before the push we need to get prepared. We need to educate ourselves on what to invest in, and do our due diligence so that when we are pushed, even though it is a scary feeling, the ability to succeed is inevitable.
And like the mother Eagle it is my job to prepare you for success. It is my job to educate you on how to create generational wealth, on what to invest in and when. It is also my job to gently push you toward success when you are well prepared to soar.
The Eagle drew courage from an innate wisdom, and discovered its wings and the purpose of living is to soar. We too need to draw courage from the education and realize our purpose is to live abundantly in every aspect of our lives.
Let TEAM Investments not only prepare you to soar financially, but give you the PUSH you need to create generational wealth

THE NATURE OF SUCCESS

Discover the power of Belief. For more than one hundred years, runners tried to break the four-minute mile. It was considered the "Holy Grail" of track and field. Many said it couldn't be done. In fact, doctors wrote articles in medical journals explaining why it was physically impossible for the human body to run a mile in less than four minutes.
However, in May 1954, a British medical student named Roger Bannister ran the mile in 3:59.4. His amazing accomplishment made headlines around the world. Yet what happened afterward was even more amazing. The four-minute mile was broken again the next month....and then again.... and again. It has since been broken more than 700 times, sometimes by several people in the same race.
The fact that everyone said it couldn't be done did not stop Roger Bannister on May 6, 1954 from running a mile under 4 minutes, he believed in himself, and THAT is The Nature of Success.
The video gives us some great tips, live with passion, pursue knowledge, set goals, commit to excellence, live with integrity, fail forward, and persevere!
We are all at different places in life. 2009 has been a financial rollercoaster for many people and there are lessons to be learned. Set new goals, don't let the past success or failures hold you back from an abundant future. No matter the situation you are in be it good or rough; remember that you always have the power of to create triumphant opportunities. Believe in yourself, educate yourself, and make positive, successful, wise decisions. Success will follow.
I wish blessings and prosperity on each of you. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to help each of you create greater success than ever imagined in 2010. This month’s newsletter is on Dreams. Without dreams we cannot reach optimum success... So hold on to your seat this is going to be a GREAT year! We have lots in store for you at TEAM Investments.
WOW! I do believe as 2009 comes to an end most of us are not sad to see it go. It has been one of the most turbulent years for all financial markets. There was NOTHING traditional about investing or even living day to day in 2009. HOWEVER, we are on the dawn of a new era and I encourage you to DREAM BIG!
Without dreams it is very hard to write our goals, and I will take you back to goal setting.... Successful people write their goals down. But where do goals really come from???? You got it ...DREAMS!
Let me give you a few pointers about Dreaming Big. First, get clear about your dreams. You are never too old, or too young. You are never too wealthy, or too challenged to DREAM Big. Nothing is stopping you and no one can hold you from obtaining your dreams, but you. Never get to the end of your life and realize you did not dream big enough or give yourself enough credit to obtain greatness.
Second, make room for new dreams. Always ask yourself, "What else?" With a little breathing space, you can add things to your life that matter to you, make you happy, and are aligned with your purpose.
Finally realize that the secret of Dreaming Big lies inside of you. Eleanor Roosevelt said, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
2010 is going to be a great year. Take some quiet time, trust in your dreams, write down your goals, and hold on for greatness!

Have a Prosperous New Year!
